Qualifications:

• Licensed in the state of Florida

• Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nursing (ARNP) from a accredited university DEA Licensed Master of Science in Nursing

• 2 years of serving as a Preceptor in a psychiatric facility

• 2 years experience providing direct care in a behavioral healthcare setting.

 

Job Description:

• The Nurse Preceptor reports to the Medical Director

• He or she has the overall responsibility of providing psychiatric evaluations, developing, monitoring, supervising and implementing all psychiatric services at the agency.

• He or she will engage in the following:

  • Direct patient care (psychiatric evaluation, medication management and counseling)

  • Supervision and training of nursing students

  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are in compliance with clinical standards

  • Ensure that all JCAHO accreditation standards for medication compliance and safety are met.
