Day Services Director

Classification: Salaried: $35,000.00 to $45,000.00

Education & Experience: Masters Degree preferred in Human Services from an accredited university
2 years experience serving the targeted population along with 2 years of supervisory and management experience;
or Bachelors Degree in Human Services from an accredited university 4 years of full time equivalent professional experience serving the targeted population along with supervisory and management experience in behavioral healthcare setting.

Duties: The Director is responsible for developing, implementing and supervising all aspects of the Medicaid Developmental Disabilities program as well as all program sites for the children and adults participants.

The Director shall ensure that the programs meet contractual requirements based on the funding sources.

The Director will ensure that all policies and procedure for each program are implemented. He or she will work with the President/CEO or the designee to ensure that all services are implemented per participant’s treatment plan.

Outreach Counselor

Wage: Hourly Hours: Full-Time Details: Show

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with one year or more of work experience behavioral healthcare or developmental disability programs.
  • Additionally, this position requires experience using the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Development Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood DC: 0-3, Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Manual (CAN).
  • 2 years experience conducting assessment and treatment planning along with individual and/or family counseling.
  • Interpersonal, analytical and computer skills are a must.
  • Bilingual a plus

 OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Applicant must be able to pass the criminal background screening and drug screening
  • Must have a valid drivers license and adequate transportation

 DESCRIPTIONS:

 This position reports to the Outpatient Clinical Supervisor.  The Outreach Counselor is responsible for

1)                  Orientate individuals and organizations about PIRC services

2)                  Disseminating flyers and brochures to the community

3)                  Ensure that all marketing materials are sent out on time with a professional appearance and are in conformance with company standards

4)                  Screening  potential patients for eligibility

5)                  Complete intake documentation for new and re-admitted patients

6)                  Document all clinical services provided in electronic medical records or paper chart

7)                  Provide training workshops (parenting education & support, anger management, etc.)

Examples of work to be performed:

  • Follow-up and track request for information
  • Provide information about other available service (food, clothing, shelter, childcare, etc.)  needs
  • Attend community service meetings with the network providers
  • Ensure that all required forms are completed timely and accurately
  • Maintains up to date information on program and services available in the community.
  • Prepares monthly reports indicating outreach activity by demographics.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Bilingual (English, French, Creole and Spanish) is a plus.

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical journals, reports, and legal documents.  In addition, he or she must demonstrate the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Also, he or she must have the ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to do basic math, calculate figures and amounts.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  He or she must have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions.
